Our Facebook Page!

Firstly tonight I want to thank all my new ‘Likers’ on the Common Chaos Chronicle Facebook Page.

It’s fantastic to see so many of you sharing the blog on.

It inspires me to write more and reassure’s me that I’m writing in the right direction when I can see the numbers of fans slowly but surely rising.

If you havent stopped by the Facebook page yet, check it out and remember to like the actual page!

This blog started as a means for me to clear my head of daily thoughts, collate my organising ideas, keep a record of crafts, record my work around the house and to keep me organised and up to date with basically everything in our lives.

Something I have been meaning to do for a lot of years now. With the encouragement of friends and family, I started to write and I am loving every minute of it.

Not only am I falling to sleep straight away each night with a clear mind, (good-bye tossing and turning for hours on end), it’s very uplifting to hear from people who have tried my ideas, used my meals plans and been inspired to create.Β

I would never have imagined that people would want to read my life story in a blog, let alone subscribe to it.

So I thank-you. You readers really make my day…. everyday lately πŸ™‚

Lounge Lizards In Action....

Today was a biggie…..

We were all up early in preparation to meet up with my step-daughter Mackenzi and bring her home for the week.

The children were so filled with excitement that they almost bowled Mack over as soon as they saw her, and the rest of our day has pretty much followed suit.

It must be hard on them to only see her during school holiday breaks, they miss her beyond belief and I am now going to try to organise a regular weekly Skype video call for her and the kids to catch up with each other.

Perhaps this can become another ritual in our house just like our movie night.

In desperation of some kind of calm, we put on a dvd for the kids to watch late this afternoon while dinner warmed up. It was very short-lived but it did buy me close to half an hour of quite before they were bouncing off the walls again. I can definitely feel a few outdoor adventures coming on!!!! πŸ™‚

Also this evening I have been busy designing invitations for the twins 7th birthday parties that are coming up in May. I love fiddling around with stuff like this.

I guess it’s just another extension on my scrapbooking.Β  Now I just have to print them out and laminate them and they’re done! Yey!

So on that note, I’m off to crank up the laminator…. one of my favourite devices from our office…..Ahhhh……

Stay tuned for more CHAOS tomorrow!!! πŸ™‚

Our biggest Monster!!! April 7, 2011

Baby Aria, Brian, Mackenzi & Baby Jai

For those of you that pay real close attention, on my very first post I introduced myself as a mother of 5 + 1.

You all know that I have 5 kiddies of my own, but I am also Step-Mummy to my very awesome step-daughter, Mackenzi Paula.

Mackenzi was born in February 2001 at the Wodonga Hospital in Northern Victoria. My husband Brian welcomed his first child with open arms before having to return to work in another state.

Mackenzi's Kinder Photo

I first met Miss Mack when Brian and I became a couple during 2003.

She was such a vibrant and confident toddler, constantly wooing us with new and exciting things. To be perfectly honest, nothing has changed.

is headstrong and isn’t afraid to talk up and tell us what she wants or needs. She oozes confidence and enjoys

Mack 'n' Me

taking the lead in many different scenarios.

She has a great influence over our other children, teaching them new things and always giving them support and care when they need it.

It has been a long and sometimes tough road developing a strong bond with Mackenzi.

The distance between our families has made a hard job even harder but I am proud to say that we have come through the battle, guns blazing and Mackenzi and I have a fantastic relationship today.

Mackenzi & Brian

When we buddy up we love to spend our time scrapbooking. A craft I introduced to an eager Mack at a younger age, that she still enjoys today.

We also enjoy discussing the finer points of the music industry,Β  me stirring her up about Justin Bieber and her stirring me up about Daniel Johns (silverchair). It’s always good for a laugh. πŸ™‚

Macks 10th Birthday!

Even though Mack is a million miles away (well approx 500kms) she is very much a part of our daily lives.

We love it when she visits, we miss her like mad when she’s away.

This morning was bliss. I woke snuggled up all cosy and warm in the arms of my hubby. Something we clearly take for granted as the usual morning “hello, I love you” is the kiss good-bye I get on his way out to work. It was nice just to have that moment, even if they’re few and far between.

The peace didn’t last very long before Levi was commando crawling over me in a desperate attempt to wake Brian with a swift whack across the head. Good Morning Daddy…..

Ahhhh the chaos had begun and due to the end of daylight savings…. an hour earlier than usual.Β  Who needs an alarm when you can wake to the sounds of “Mum, I’m hungry”, “Mum, I want breakfast”, “Mum, can I watch TV?”, “Mum, mum, mum, mum, mum”….. Arghhhhh wait to go and ruin the moment Monster Squad….. LOL

Anyway, with great big plans of ripping up the dining room carpet this weekend, I can proudly say that we achieved nothing!!!

My Blog Journal. A place where I store all my ideas and thoughts!

I’m not sure if it was the weather or to do with moons or the fact that my children think I owe the 100% of my attention 100% of the time but no matter how hard I tried to achieve anything, I was interrupted and the task came to a screeching halt. Better luck next time I guess.

My day progressed much the same, I got some sketches done for an upcoming project and that was about it really. Jai went to a mate’s 7th birthday party, and that got me thinking I had better start planning my own kids parties very soon too.

I’ve also decided to undertake the whole Photo Of The Day concept and get snapping. I figure with the little time i have these day’s to dedicate to my scrapping, I must be missing out on preserving heaps of precious moments and memories. so this will be my brief way of documenting our lives until I rediscover that thing once know as “FREE TIME”….. πŸ™‚

My motivation seems to be in a bit of a lull at the moment.

I think it’s always harder to get going when it’s so very cold. It must definitely be time to fire up the heater and leave it on when we’re at home. Brrrrrrr it’s been so chilly.

Well on that note I might just flick my electric blanket on, make a warm milo and get ready for bed!

The diary that keeps me organised!

Today I have decided to introduce a new section to my blog titled ‘The Daily Dirt’.

The purpose of this section is to allow me to give a brief rundown of my day, note anything exciting or somewhat insane that may have happened and to encourage me to keep up with my PHOTO OF THE DAY (POTD) Project.

I am also hoping it will help me remember important things when it comes to the journalling boxes in my scrapbook albums. πŸ™‚Β  A daily diary Online!!

So join me each day to catch up on the chaotic craziness and awesome antics of this super busy household.

Luv Jac xoxo

One of my Digital Scrapbooking Pages from last weeks List!

Argh it’s Monday again!!!

I have been so super busy this past week, that I didn’t quite achieve all of the things on last Monday’s list. That’s OK because I will just put them on this weeks list along with a few other jobs I’d like to catch up on!

So here’s what I would like to achieve on top of the regular jobs this week.

* Clean off the Verandah.

* Decide on a Scrapbook Project and get it underway.

* 5 Common Chaos Chronicle Blog Posts.

* Go shopping for Winter Clothes.

I’m not going to go over the top with extras this week as each task is almost a day in itself! I can but try! πŸ™‚

But for now, I’m off to put some kiddies to bed!
